The day is brighter here with You
The night is lighter than it's hue
Would lead me to believe
Which leads me to believe
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
What does that make me?
My eyes are small but they have seen
the beauty of enormous things
Which leads me to believe
there's light enough to see that
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
From glory to glory
You are glorious You are glorious
From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious
Which leads me to believe
why I can believe that
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
From glory to glory From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious.
You are glorious. You are glorious.
Have you ever taken time to stop and actually listen to the words of a song? I did, this Sunday we sang this song and normally I get stuck on the part "what does that make me?" but this Sunday I stopped and reflected on "and I am yours" WOW, what a powerful line. I don't know how I have contiuenely missed that before. How amazing is it that we belong to God and that he wants us no matter what, that he made everything glorious and that we are his !

I forgot how much I enjoy reading. I have realized this after spending a few weeks here at church interning I have spent more time reading and doing my devo's in the last few weeks then I have in the last few months.
I say all that to simply say "I love organized time". Helps me accomplish so much more with my day and the things I need to get done, actually get done.

Can you hear me now? Good.
My devo yesterday and today was over listening. Great topic, I do that well I thought in my head before I actually began reading. Barely got passed the first paragraph before I thought, "wow, I stink at listening" there went all my pride. Then later, if it wasn't enough just to think about how much of a horrible listener I am God was there proved to me, that I wasn't a good listener at all. I made someone repeat themselves 3 times (now they all say the 3rd time is a charm, but I mean seriously come on) before I actually took the time to STOP thinking about whatever I was thinking about and actually listen to what they were saying. Now I'd really like to put the blame on the other person and say something like "well if they would have spoke up I could have heard them" or " if they wouldn't have stammered", But in all reality it was my fault I was thinking of 100 other things other than what that person was saying.
Todays lesson was over listening to God, which lets be honest if I am having trouble listening to audible voices I am probably not listening to God like I should either. I think this all goes back to what I talked about in my last post, I am too busy, I have made myself too busy and unable to do everything well. So I am stopping so I can hear you, and most importantly hear God.

Sorry for being absent, it's really no way to start off a blog! A wonderful combination of a sinus infection, asthma flair up, upper respiratory infection, and pleurisy was enough to take me out for a little over a week. I am feeling much better now and ready to tackle this blog!
I am reading: Integrity by Dr. Henry Cloud, I think I am really going to like this book, I having to read it chapter by chapter, but already the first chapter has given me a ton to think about...In the book it points out that we never really learn certain things in school like how to lose, but we learn to find X and other things that most of us once out of high school will never use again but we all lose, we all need to learn and understand how to handle situations better.
I am thinking about: sticking up for myself, I need to start saying "no" more often, I was thinking about it while I was sick. The week before I got sick I was trying to be in a hundred different places at once. I feel like the things I did that week were simply just okay I was trying to take on too much at once, when I really should have been doing a few things at 100% of my ability. I was so super busy that I didn't have time for myself let alone God. I firmly believe that becoming too busy is a sin.
I am dreaming & wishing at: doing things better.
